Compliance software for dangerous goods transport by sea

Hazcheck DGL Lite updated to IMDG Code 37-14, 2 March 2015

Exis has launched an updated version of their free mobile app Hazcheck DGL Lite.  It now includes both Amdt 36-12 and Amdt 37-14 IMDG Code data. 2015 is a transition year when both Amendments can be used. Amendment 37-14 comes into force on 1 January 2016.

Hazcheck DGL Lite is based on Exis' Hazcheck Systems for the management of dangerous goods in sea transport.  It is a quick reference tool for those involved in the handling and transport of dangerous goods by sea.  It gives quick and easy access to IMDG Code substance information contained in the dangerous goods list (DGL).  Available for Android phones now, the updated Amdt 37-14 iPhone and Blackberry versions will follow shortly.

The app has a simple interactive user interface for checking an entry in the IMDG Code dangerous goods list or index.  Typing in the UN number or initial letters of a chemical name referenced in the IMDG Code displays details of the class, sub-risk (if applicable), packing group and labels for the substance or article.  The application also contains useful information on each of the hazard classes.

Hazcheck Systems are compliance solutions for every link in the sea transport chain, from shippers to deep sea container lines.  More information about Hazcheck Systems can be found at: www.hazcheck.com
