"K" Line

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. is a Japanese transportation
company. It owns a fleet that includes dry cargo ships, container
ships, liquefied natural gas carriers, Ro-Ro ships, tankers and
container terminals.
"K" Line use IMDG Code
e-learning for their shore side staff training.
Martin Jarvis, Deputy General Manager of the Information
Systems Group, "K" Line (Europe) Ltd, commented, "Before
becoming part of ONE for our container shipping we used Hazcheck
Gateway. We started to use IMDG Code e-learning when it was
originally launched in 2009. We are very proud of our staff
training and other safety improvement initiatives developed in
partnership with Exis. We have worked very closely with Exis on
ensuring that the dangerous goods shipping aspect of our business
is addressed. Exis experts are always on hand to discuss any
new requirements that we may be interested in, and their forward
looking approach to product development means that they are
constantly reviewing their current systems and developing new
solutions."
IMDG Code
e-learning is a cost-effective online training
tool for all shore side staff involved in the handling and
transport of dangerous goods by sea. It was developed
with the support of the International Maritime
Organization, and gives high quality training that complies
with both the general awareness and function specific training
requirements in the IMDG Code.
